Jonathan Skoner, O.D., F.I.A.O.M.C.

Dr. Skoner received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University in 2013 where he graduated with high honors. He has dedicated much of his career to specializing in myopia control. After graduation, Dr. Skoner joined Eye Care Specialties and spent 5 years pursuing a fellowship in myopia control and orthokeratology through the IAOMC (International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control), the world's leading experts in the field of myopia control. At the time, he was the first person in the state of Pennsylvania to receive fellow status.

Dr. Skoner directs the myopia control and orthokeratology clinic at Eye Care Specialties of PA Wexford. He currently serves as the vice president of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and Chair of the Fellowship program where he mentors doctors pursuing a fellowship. Dr. Skoner has extensive experience in all forms of myopia control including pharmaceutical atropine, soft myopia control contacts, orthokeratology, hybrid treatments, and lifestyle modifications. He is highly experienced and certified to design multiple types of custom-fit orthokeratology lenses. Dr. Skoner has been published in numerous journals and is an internationally recognized speaker on myopia control techniques.
